We currently have eleven class groups at Pens Meadow, seven at Ridge Hill and four at Pensnett. Classes are arranged according to age, ability and needs. Each class has a team of staff, with each pupil having a keyworker.
Class groups are reviewed regularly to ensure pupils are placed in the class group that can best meet their needs.
The lower phase at Pens Meadow, Ridge Hill has three classes; Green, Orange, and Purple for children from reception to year 3. Complex needs has pupils from year 2 to year 9 in Pink class.
The Middle Phase at Pens Meadow, Ridge Hill has one class, Yellow for pupils in year 3 to year 5. The Upper Phase has 2 classes ; Red and Blue for pupils from year 6 to year 11.
The Post 16 Department at Pens Meadow, Pensnett currently has four classes; Oak, Elm, Maple & Birch. Students are at Pensnett from the age of sixteen and can stay three years, until they are nineteen.
