As previously reported to the Board, NHS Property Services sold the wider Ridge Hill site to Home England in 2017.  I understand a planning application has already been approved for Homes England to build 129 new homes in the area surrounding the Ridge Hill Learning Disabilities Centre (LIFT building).

A new planning application has been submitted for the wider Ridge Hill site – Demolition of former nurses accommodation, garages, and the Keeling Centre (Method statement attached).

CHP is aware that this application has been submitted as do Dudley MBC who occupy the neighbouring special needs school.  It is unknown at present whether the demolition of these properties will impact on the Ridge Hill Learning Disabilities Centre.
